Outstanding vintage John Romita Sr. original Spider-Man artwork, hand-drawn in pencil and personally inscribed by Romita on official Marvel Comics Group letterhead.

The artwork features a classic head-and-shoulders portrait of Spider-Man, unmistakably rendered in the style that helped define the character for generations of Marvel readers.

To the right of the artwork, Romita personally wrote:

John Romita Sr. is one of the most important and influential artists in Spider-Man history.

After taking over The Amazing Spider-Man following Steve Ditko's departure, Romita became one of the character's defining artists. His interpretation of Spider-Man and Peter Parker helped establish the visual identity of the series during one of the most celebrated periods in Marvel Comics history.

This original drawing is a wonderful example of Romita's interpretation of Spider-Man. The large masked portrait features the character's distinctive web pattern and expressive eyes, with additional pencil shading surrounding the head and shoulders.
